Furious Putin lashes out at ‘scum and traitors’ as Ukraine invasion stalls and another Russian general is killed despite ceasefire talks

  1. I haven’t watched a lot of Putin speeches, but this is the first one I think I’ve seen where he looks upset.

  2. The problem how I see it with a ceasefire and a mutual agreement between Ukraine and Russia is that if such an agreement is reached then Putin will never be prosecuted for his war crimes. Then basically it will be back to status-quo, only with a bombed Ukraine and thousands of people dead. Who will pay the half a trillion USD for rebuilding Ukraine and who will take responsibility for at least dead 26 children?

  3. I miss the Russian trolls on this sub. I’d like to see how they responded to this. But Putin has ruined the influence of the Internet Research Agency too.

  4. This speech is very dangerous. He called for the purification of the russian society. And he s not used to making figures of speech. He’s cosplaying the leader of the USSR but russia is not a superpower anymore.

Putin will soon turn his army against the russians themselves

~~Does anyone have a~~ link to the full speech: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5iEZc36zFYQ

  5. He’s decided to take on the dual personality of Stalin & Hitler. Just need Pol Pot he’ll have a full house.

  6. Good. If he’s losing his self control, it means things on the ground are going very wrong and he knows it, despite reports of his generals lying to him, and he feels cornered.

  7. Even if a cease fire happens or if they come to an agreement that Ukraine will not join NATO or the EU and won’t have an army and will hand over half the country to Russia…

What then. Putin will hang on to power trying to isolate Russia building closer ties with China, India and other nations that are not fully in with the west or democracy as an idea.

Disband NATO… What then? EU will demand an EU army to protect it’s self which will then just be NATO 2.0 but worse for Russia as the EU army won’t be an army for defence but also one to protect it’s economic interests…

I see no good ending to this.

  8. Whats up withe the “despite ceasefire talks” part of the title ? Thats not in the article. And if there are only talks about an ceasefire, there is no reason to expect that soliders and generals would not continue to be killed.

  9. A general killed _despite_ ceasefire talks? Just like those civilians Russians bomb every day? It can’t be… /s
