SOUTHPORT, N.C. (WECT) – Residents at Southport Health and Rehabilitation Center got to return to the facility five months after major flooding forced the center to close its doors.
The center had to undergo extensive renovations because of Potential Tropical Cyclone 8 back in September.
Now with fresh paint, updated flooring and some new furniture, staff members welcomed back residents Saturday.
There will be a ribbon-cutting and open house on April 29 at 1:30 p.m. to showcase the upgrades to the Southport community.
