As the wife and I are child free this weekend we are going to focus on us. Very much needed!
Work lol
Off to the shooting club, lamb for Sunday dinner then gym, whisky, bed. Proper Sunday!
Saturday was top drawer. Was at Twickenham for the rugby and the place bounced like I haven’t felt it in a long time. Also, could not have been sat much closer to the winning try.
Today, bit of life admin in readiness for our move to a new home.
More six nations.
Roast pork.
Sunday. Done.
It’s my “It’s half 7 and I’m still in bed and have no intention of changing that any time soon” day
It is a sofa day to make up for having to work yesterday. I am going to watch films under my heated blanket and doze with the cat.
Need to get a train back to reality after visiting the parent. Then will probably watch the footie and get some proper vegetables to cook a makeshift sunday dinner. Have eaten too much shite over the past couple of days and I can feel scurvy coming on…
Tea and cake out with an old gf .lots of chat on the horizon 😀
I’m a student and I’ve got an assignment due next week (with I had to get an extension for due to my poor cat being hospitalised the other week) so I’m off to the library to work on it…but before that I’m gonna go to a big antiques shop for a browse and pick-me-up
My plans are to go to the gym, do some washing and play some video games.
Making roast dinner this afternoon, the hob isn’t working at the moment so everything has to be done in the oven or the instant pot, and I’ve got to figure out how to make gravy.
the cats have woken me for their breakfast so no doubt they’ll all go back to sleep and i will just exist on the sofa for a bit until i think it’s an appropriate time to use my sewing machine.
my husband will be staying up to watch the superbowl and i don’t want to wake up him up too early and impact on his ability to stay up late!
i’ve been making a jacket for a couple of weeks and haven’t shared the finished product on instagram yet so i’m going to make the effort to actually do my hair/make up on a sunday to get some pictures wearing it!
Going to the bakery, doing a batch cook, and then spending as much time horizontal as possible. Which I hate but I injured myself last weekend and I’m trying to recover ASAP, being upright isn’t helping that.
But I’ll catch up on some wrestling, do some interview prep, and have a cheeky nap before the superbowl. I’ll make it work for me.
Here is the downside of being out last night. I am now in a deep panic hole.
This happens every time and I thought I’d headed it off by checking the things I’d panicked about last time before I went to sleep.
Nope. Found new (imaginary) things to worry about. Today is going to be fun, I’ve had about 2 hours of sleep.
Work
My husband is out of town so it’s just lazy puppy snuggles on the sofa. Normally I would go for a run while he’s home with her, but today I’m just enjoying the slow wake up and cuddles.
I’m going to watch some local wrasslin’ with my nephew
Had a 7AM Tesco delivery, and I’ve been lounging in my bed munching on bits and browsing Reddit since. I think I’ll spend today reading and relaxing.
There was a Reddit comment a few weeks back about how anyone who goes to a museum on a Sunday is single so if you want to meet other single people you should do that. I keep thinking about it and how I’d love to try it and see what happens.
Superbowl until 4am tonight yet I was already awake before 4am this morning. I’m gonna die whilst hosting my annual party, ack.
Also hosting a poker tournament to fill the evening before the game, and cooking for everyone. Nice relaxing day for sure. :/
Walk dogs, relax a bit then cook my wife a full english breakfast/brunch before I head down the pub to watch the rugby. Maybe even remembering to go home at a reasonable time, relatively unwobbly. Then it’s the Superbowl.
I’m about to sleep, I have the mental health crisis resolution team visiting me today, and then I’ll have a nap (because I stayed up too late reading!) and then I’ll continue reading
Probably the most eventful Sunday I’ve had in a while!
All night I was dreaming about how I’d really let my degree work slip, I’d done nothing, and I didn’t know how I was going to pull it back in my final year to actually get a degree out of it.
I got my degree 25 years ago, a good one.
Shut up brain.
Not a lot, thankfully. Will watch the rugby later. Wife’s going out with the child this morning so I can catch up on watching Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 gameplay on YouTube.
It’s a I have to run day only about 10 miles but still has to be done
Up early, fire on. Child #2 slept through the night so feeling good. Off to a tea room built in 1502 later for scones and tea. Just a dog walk and supermarket trip to do first, but the sun’s out.
Edit: we’re making apple crumble for later too!
Motorcycle ride with a few of the lads, come home for a nap, red hot bath, hair dye and homemade pizza 🙂
Taking my daughter to primark as she’s had a sudden noticeable growth spurt that requires money being spent on her so no doubt an argument of “mummmm I don’t like that it’s too babyish” will occur at some point during that shop and a mini roast dinner for us both on the way home at the carvery 😍 happy Sunday funday everyone
My boyfriend and I are watching Super Bowl later so making lots of delicious food.
Pulled pork has just gone in the slow cooker, cookie dough in the fridge ready to be baked later. Aside from that, some valentines crafty bits with the kids I expect.
Fella is taking me for a Sunday Roast at a mystery pub! I’ve been up since 6 thinking about it.
Working! Traffic in was really good so that was a good start to the day. Thinking it’ll be relatively quiet as the weather is pretty grotty but that’s fine, gives us more time to get in with other stuff. This evening we’re having a roast when I get home from work and then I should really tidy my room – piles of clean laundry everywhere…
Been in work for an hour now and still sat in the canteen cradling the same cup of coffee I made on arriving.
Zero willpower going on today. Can feel a late morning nap being on the cards shortly.
Kids to Techniquest today, pizza and ice cream for lunch.
We’ll see if there is time for anything else this afternoon, but I imagine I’ll be refreshing the BBC website to follow the Scotland game 🙂
About to go for a longish walk (with a Costa stop in the middle). Then home, tidy and organise stuff, maybe finish my book, watch us lose in the rugby.
I want to run today but it’s frosty and my shoes suck so pushing it to later in the day.
Going to take my daughter for a birthday party hopefully will be back by lunch and do some tidy up and play something in my switch.
Fun day for me, going skiing at an indoor ski slope with the parents then out to lunch
Had an embarrassing moment yesterday when I tried on my ski trousers that I haven’t worn for 4 years and found out they did not fit. At all 🙃. But I did find some on sale at Mountain Warehouse for £35 so crisis averted 🫡
bought a new washing machine yesterday which we could ill afford right now and saved money on instillation, will find out shortly if that was a good idea. have a great day all.
Girlfriend has work so I’m at home with the kids, it’s the youngests 9th birthday tomorrow so prepping for that. We’re proper skint at the moment but we managed to get some super lovely toys appropriate for his development (severe learning disability) doing a charity shop run in a posho town, thanks Tenterden. He’s obsessed with the robot from the new Wallace and Gromit so going to make a card for him today with that on!
Going to the gym soon, hope to hit the shops on my way back and get all my meal prepping and laundry done before lunchtime so I can spend the rest of the day working on my game.
Mums birthday is today so we’re going to see her. I’ve got a card to give my dad to give to her too, so it’s going to be a military operation to slip it to him and have him write it without mum seeing.
My wife has made her a crochet shawl which is gorgeous and bought her a bottle of gin. My mum has been through it recently with my dad having cancer so I’ve bought her a pair of star earrings. She has a thing about stars and bringing her luck, so as my dad finishes chemo this month I think she’ll love them.
I’m very nervous about giving them to her because she isn’t always the easiest to buy for. I hope she loves them.
Heading off to buy paint, need to touch up a wall.
I’ll be going for a nice long tramp in the woods. I meant to get on with that first thing, but clearly I got distracted.
Currently trying to make it to 5pm so I can enjoy the next week off work. Time is crawling by.
Sunday. Is long run day
Batch cooking a basic mince, tomato, onion, carrot & bacon sauce so that I can portion it up and add things to it as necessary to make chilli, bolognaise, etc over the coming weeks.
Resisting the temptation to go to the new asian supermarket as they sell those super hot Buldak noddles by the box (30 packets I think).
Had planned to go for a nice walk with a friend but the weather is horrible so we will be visiting various farm shops instead, and then going for a free pizza courtesy of my Tesco Clubcard points.
