8. My friends in the cayman islands right now. Texted an hour after the earthquake and he had no clue anything happened

9. Well, The US Tsunami Warning Center puts the wave height of the tsunami wave at 30cm to 1m (1-3ft) at the Caymans and 1-3m (3-10ft) at the Cuban coast. That’s dangerous enough that I hope the beaches were evacuated but it’s not a “big one”. Looks like we dodged a bullet here.

15. I’m in Cancun on vacation. I was laying in bed and definitely felt the shaking.

16. Everyone was rooting for a asteroid in the Chiefs v Eagles super bowl. Maybe a flood? Would it be possible for a tsunami to hit New Orleans? Or are The Yucatan peninsula and Cuba enough protection?
