Germany’s foreign trade with Russia declined sharply in 2024. Exports to Russia dropped by 15.3%, while imports were nearly cut in half (-49.7%). Europe continues to isolate Russia, depriving it of financial resources, while Germany’s economy grows in other sectors.

1. Is there any reason for any trade with Russia? Why are Germans still feeding the Russian war machine against Ukraine.

2. Is that why they are crying about not getting Russia’s inexpensive energy? Why are they sill trading anything at all with Russia?
