I’m a working class guy from the central belt and I’ve always had a bit of an issue with this mentality. Scotland is more than just young teams and buckfast, and I say that as a former buckfast drinking young team member.
Scotland is an insanely beautiful country and while I don’t think we should be kissing the feet of the wealthy, it’s just self defeating to disregard someone’s positive opinion about Scotland just because they’re well off.

I was Reading Game of Thrones Clash of Kings after watching the show, and I was confused that I had to change her accent in my head when I read it because I then realised in the TV show version she barely sounded Scottish, but she sounds Scottish when I’m reading her character in my head now and all the wildlings.
Maybe thats just her accent or she was told to tone it down for the show imagine her saying “ya no nu’in joen snaw”
