US President Donald Trump’s plan to impose tariffs on goods from Mexico, Canada and China is partly aimed at curbing the flow of fentanyl into the United States, where the opioid is blamed for some 70,000 deaths annually. So how do those countries play a role in the trafficking of the drug? Plus, we take a closer look at how global car companies are particularly vulnerable to tariffs.

  4. US customs inspects only about 1 percent of imports. Most fentanyl probably arrives in shipping containers in Miami or Los Angeles. Forcing ordinary Americans to pay higher prices for everyday items because of irresponsible American drug addicts makes no sense at all.

  5. This video is very misleading. China only manufactures basic chemicals compounds which is legal. It is Mexico drug dealers convert it to fentanyl.

  6. It's American border security that is supposed to stop things from getting into the country. This is the weirdest/saddest way Trump could have announced how poorly his country is managing its border.

  8. The problem is in the U.S side. They need to go after their local drug cartels as well as catch people who are illegally using it. As long as there are markets for it and money to be made then local entrepreneurs will find a way to make it and supply it. The U.S is blaming other countries for problems that are their own doing. The U.S is obviously just using this excuse to bully other countries.

Even if this anywhere remotely true and the Source stopped if America as a massive drug problem those addicts will find other sources and the US can produce this drug itself in huge amounts so Trump yet again is not thinking straight well that's to be expected hey he's the smartest guy in the room so he claims America as a massive drug problem probably due to the way it citizens are treated a far wider issue than Trump seems to be able to grasp ,America as a major drugs problems and Tarrifs with China Canada and the rest of the world will not fix the drug addiction problem it's the whole system that broke and Trump is going to break it even further .

  19. American drug users are the only one to blame for the flow of Fentanyl and other illegal drugs in the U.S. who engorge themselves with these drugs and suffer no legal consequences whatsoever – no demand, no supply full stop

  20. The rich supply the fentanyl, while the rich cozzy up to trump confusing the president into believing its other countries fault for the fentanyl problems. Sounds like a conspiracy, but so did the opium war with china and england who was hooking chinese on opium and yes the monarch was benefiting off the sales of opium.
