Surprise. Not the whole accurate story. Who’d have thought.
Ok I’ve read it now. I think this is an important discussion to have:
* Person enters country illegally, later commits crimes, is caught. Should be deported, right?
* While in the UK, they fathered a child. This child grew up here, they are British, correct? What should happen to him? Adoption? Deported along with their criminal father to a foreign (to the child) country?
Then the child stays! McDonalds can adopt him… /s
U.K. government needs to grow a pair…
😂😂😂
I love when you get bullshit headlines like this.
>to return to Albania with his father owing to food sensitivities, sensory issues and difficulties communicating emotions.
Right so misleading headline.
The reality is that his has such severe issues (most likely extreme autism) that his son couldn’t live in Albania. Not 100% sure that’s enough reason to keep him, but the headline is insane.
You couldn’t make it up!!!
misleading headline like usual. Mods here should really put the full text as a stickied comment
The real headline should be: Albanian mobster uses son to avoid deportation
Fwiw
However, a judge in the upper tribunal disagreed with the assessment that his additional needs could not be met if he was returned to Albania.
He remitted the case to be reheard by a different judge in a lower tribunal to decide the “sole issue” of whether the consequences of deportation would be unduly harsh on the 10-year-old boy. The case is ongoing.
He should try the kfc wings in Amsterdam, a cut above what we have here.
The fuck is LBC doing as an acceptable link. This shit is nonsense.
Immigrants aren’t the reason for rising inequality. It’s the billionaires that are avoiding tax which would otherwise go to the government to fund social services, education and the NHS
>Disha, who could still be forced to leave the UK, was stripped of his citizenship in 2021 after serving two years in prison when he was caught with £300,000 known to be proceeds of crime.
>But an immigration tribunal ruled it would be “unduly harsh” for his 10-year-old son, known as ‘C’ in court documents, to return to Albania with his father owing to food sensitivities, sensory issues and difficulties communicating emotions.
>Speaking to LBC’s Nick Ferrari at Breakfast, Border Security Minister Dame Angela Eagle revealed the Home Secretary had appealed the decision.
>She told Nick: “The Home Secretary actually appealed that as soon as soon as it became clear that is the decision that’s been made, that is not a final decision yet. The court processes aren’t over yet. When we appeal things they often get overturned.”
>But, the minister did say she was ‘astonished’ at the decision.
Non-story.
“We note that while C has been identified as having special educational needs, he has no formal diagnosis. C does have an Individualised Educational Plan (“the plan”), which lists as its areas of concern: emotional regulation, independence; reading and writing. As to the latter concern, we note that contrary to A’s evidence as recorded at [29] of the decision, C’s first language is said in the plan to be Albanian.”

It’s very long, but the gist seems to be the child has special needs but hasn’t been diagnosed by a professional psychologist. There’s mention of a trainee psychologist who carried out an assessment but the court were unable to confirm her credentials as no CV for her or her supervisor were provided. There’s a lot more, but the relevant info seems to be in the 20s and 40s
The judiciary is out of control. Our politicians shouldn’t have to fight tooth and nail for years against judges to get one illegal migrant Albanian mobster deported due to the “distress” it would cause his family. Something is fundamentally broken here.
