M23 leader vows to push on in DR Congo • FRANCE 24 English

Thousands of people have gathered in Goma to hear from the leader of the M23 rebels, the group behind the conflict in eastern DR Congo. Corneille Nangaa called for a minute’s silence for victims of his fighters’ takeover of the city, before warning of more unrest and vowing to drive out the government.

  7. It seems like you (journalists) have become politicians. It surprise everyone how you call M23 to be backed by Rwanda like you have solid evidences on that. Shame on you. Rwanda will not request anyone the Right to defend people. M23 problem is a Congolese problem, which must me solved by congolese themselves, NOT Rwanda.

  9. When they are alive, they are Wazalendo , Burundia Bonerakure and the FDLR fully armed fighting the M23 but when they die on the battlefield, they become 3000 innocent civilians. It's absurd. And the BBC also plays a big role in spreading lies

  14. All death happens in Goma was the Rwandaise Military, who came in and shoot life munitions to all refugees with was in the road from different villages.

  20. If the government fails to unite its people,that government can be taken out anyday…the people on the ground are the the reflection of how strong is your government so the DRC loosing this war is that they don't have support from their own people on the ground

  27. Africa doesn't want American loans anymore. We dont want to use the dollar.
    If Africa can unite and then link the continent currency to the resources the dollar would fall like a stone.
    African countries could give eachother loans for infrastructure and departments.
    We dont need gold or diamonds. We would focus on Agriculture, infrastructure,education and skills development and African style research.

    We have all we need here in Africa.
    If outside influences can just leave us alone.
    And this "stopping humanitarian funding " just proves how spiteful USA is.

    You would let thousands of innocent people suffer and die.?

  28. Don't be surprised by M23 wins, when you're fighting against discrimination, against tribalism, killings and other injustices, victory is guaranteed

  31. The question is, why is the West and the European Union not doing business with the Congolese government over their natural resources directly instead doing business with Rwanda for the resources of Congo? Congo does have a government right?

  32. Europe is very worried about the African population growth, so if Africans keep killing each other, wouldn’t that help them solve their concern about the African population growth? Is that why they are using Rwanda to get their fellow African brothers resources instead of doing business with the Congolese government directly? I don’t see any other reason.

If the donations are stopped for some reason, the recipient feels that he is being robbed.
