In another thread someone posted this

As I‘m planning to send my baby to Globe Garden, I wanted to ask what is the experience of parents regarding globe garden and it would be great if you could at least say in which Kreis or area your GG is located
Are you absolutely happy and didnt see any gaps like in the article? (One care person left alone for 15 kids)
Or do you think you have realized something is wrong but you don‘t have time and energy to switch?
You have no other choice? No other day care or for $$$ reasons
You have switched the day care due to real issues you saw?
I‘m writing because I was about to send my baby to GG but as I have still some time, I really started to doubt the decision of GG. I have still other options available
Thanks for sharing!

No personal experience with my kids, but I once represented a client who had trouble with globegarden. His case fitted the picture painted by Republik perfectly. In his case, they advertised as a bilingual childcare and everything for the parents was in English. It was important to them that their child would be talked to in English. However, on the first day, they casually revealed that there was no English speaking employees in the baby group and that bilingual care would not start before the age of 2 (which is an absolute joke if you think how and when children acquire their language skills). Then, they had the audacity that they wanted to keep my clients retainer and bill them even more for the notice period.
I’m not a parent but my sibling works in childcare and I worked as an intern at two kita and we only heard bad things about globe garden. A lot of kitas will portray this picture perfect image but usually they fall through with the execution but globe garden takes the cake when it comes to lying to parents. A co worker of my sibling did her internship and education there and she talked about how she and some kids had to hide in the basement when some government officials did an unannounce inspection. They also treat their employees like shit which overall leads to a very toxic work environment. So I wouldn’t recommend sending your kids to globe garden.
We checked it out some years ago and were impressed at what we saw. We changed our mind when some friends had quite a negative experience and suggested that they are all about painting a very nice image with less focus on the actual care. We ended up going with a much more scruffy looking Kita but the care and attitude of the management was top notch – even though the building looked like it was falling down.
My advice is that if you have any doubts at all then look around again. You are trusting them with a pretty valuable cargo – and the last thing you need is to have any anxiety about it.
But at the same time I don’t want to worry you unduly with my comment either – whichever option you choose there might always be something….
Believe me, Republik writes no BS at all.
I’ve only heard negative things about them when we were looking for kitas year and a half ago. As a parent and reading this article, I wouldn’t even consider them.
Not much time has passed to “ensure” that changes have been made. If it is a concern about money, for sure there are options and subsidies that can be looked into.
I wouldnt risk the most vulnerable time of the child’s life, knowing especially that these babies won’t be able to fully tell you what is going on.
I work in childcare in Switzerland, several of the people I know who worked at GG confirmed the article, staff turnover is high!
Globe Garden is really quite shit, especially to their employees, and they use less workers than required (similar to what elderly care institutions are pulling off to increase profits).
