There’s a lot of talk about Prince William and Princess Kate, and there’s even more talk about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, but it seems like King Charles is getting skipped over.
On one level, Charles is the monarch, and he’s quite busy, as well, he is still battling cancer, but according to one royal expert, Charles isn’t covered as much as his royal offspring and there is a reason why.
Brittani Barger, co-founder of Royal News, agrees that there is more attention given to his sons, and one reason is because of the public’s loyalty to Princess Diana.
Barger said: “There isn’t as much focus on King Charles, especially in the international press, as the younger royals – particularly his sons.”
She added: “As Diana’s sons, they are heavily focused on and people want to know more about them and what they are doing.”
While some people are holding onto the past, there are those who see a newfound lightheartedness about Charles, it’s been reported.
Daily Express US recently spoke to royal broadcaster Ian Pelham Turner, who said: “I’m really glad Camilla is with him because Camilla, to me, brings calmness to him.”
Pelham Turner was at William and Kate’s wedding in 2011, as a commissioned royal photographer, and it was Camilla who reminded Charles to wave to everyone when leaving Westminster Abbey.
Pelham Turner said: “I think she has a much better understanding of what people want.”
