Mumbai: The British Deputy High Commission in Mumbai hosted an evening reception on Tuesday to mark the birthday of His Majesty King Charles III. Globally known as The King’s Birthday Party (KBP), the annual celebration pays tribute to The King as the UK’s Head of State, celebrating with the best of British art, culture, and food. The event also celebrates the bond of friendship between the UK and India. His Majesty The King’s’ lifelong commitment to environmental conservation, heritage preservation, and sustainability resonates strongly with India’s priorities under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. State minister for IT and Cultural Affairs, Ashish Shelar was the chief guest for the reception.
