  1. Asking for a friend.

Is there a process to move to finland (non EU) with remote work. I remember Finland had a 90 day a Finn program in 2020.

I wonder if that is possible still or if there is a criteria for something like that.

  2. Been looking into moving to Finland, from Sweden, to be with my girlfriend. She’s been in contact with the DVV, to try and get any wiser on the process and everything coming along with it. But, seeing as I’m unemployed and would *require* healthcare (diabetic), some things are still quite unclear to us and wonder if anyone here might have an answer or could point in the right direction.

Anyway. They told her that I *might* need to have lived in Finland for a year, in the city we would reside in, before I could get access to public health services, financial assistance, and such. But that seems extremely unclear, is it needed or is it not? Does it depend on what city we’d be in?

Hope this is clear enough and makes sense. Will try to clarify otherwise. Thanks in advance!

  3. Moi,
We are thinking about a family trip of around 8 days in Finland and Norway in July, mainly focusing on nature and other attractions.
We were thinking about a caravan, but bear in mind we are 6 people, so I guess two caravans are needed if caravans are the chosen way to travel?
How are the vans? convenient to sleep in?
Is it cheaper to rent a car and sleep in hotels/motels?

Bear in mind my wife is Finnish, so we have been to Finland many times.
Is it a good idea to rent a car/caravan in Lapland (Rovaniemi), drive northern Finland, then enter Norway through Kilpisjärvi heading towards Tromsø?

    Kiitos! 🙂

  4. Hello everyone,

I feel like this is a stupid question, so please feel free to laugh at me if that is the case.

I have three sons, 1 is 11 and 2 are 9, my 9YOs’ best friend is Finnish and has invited us to stay with their family for the upcoming Easter Holiday. My boys are very excited to try saunas, as their friend has talked up how amazing they are. I on the other hand am slightly anxious about once specific aspect, the nudity. I know this is going to probably sound silly to you guys, but nudity to me is a big thing lol.

My boys are aware of the nudity requirements and they do not have an issue with it, all three of my sons have not picked up on my fear of being seen naked and will regularly be in their birthday suits. What I wanted to ask is, would it be disrespectful to keep my swimming trunks on in the sauna even if everyone else is nude, their family has told me that the saunas are gender separated. Is this something you’d advise I just bite the bullet and go naked or is it something that I could keep my trunks on without being disrespectful?

Again, sorry if this is stupid question.

    Thank you
