The Zielona Górka restaurant, which lies at the heart of the small city near Łódź in central Poland, has been named the best at making Neapolitan-style pizza in a survey of over a thousand pizzeria owners across the world. It’s only the second time the Best AVPN Pizzeria award has been handed to a company outside Naples.

  1. No one talking about it here on Reddit. I guess Italians are not happy about it.

Go Naples go! Why? Because you’ve skipped town name near to Łódź. Pabianice! Green Street.

  2. We may not be good at soccer anymore but our tennis and Pizza is getting better and better!

  3. It may be best but it doesn’t change fact that it most likely cost x5 more than similar pizza in Italy.

  4. I’m searching for the award on AVPN and zielonagorka is nowhere to be found. This seems like a wałek

  5. Overcrowded with tourists, Noisy, Dirty, High crime rate Naples??
Choose wisely and come do Pabianice, known as PabiaNICE. Pizza, cyce, Pabianice.

  6. An an American of 🇵🇱and 🇮🇹ancestry (mom’s family came from Salerno which is 55KM from Naples) all I’ve got to say is: Gratulacje!

  7. I bookmarked it but forgot to go last time I was in Lodz. There’s a place at manufaktura which really surprised me as well, “Al Dente Pasta & Bable” had really good neopolitan pizza.

Super far cry from my first pizza in Lodz in 1991 which was more of a zapiekanka.

  8. Some of the worst pizza I’ve ever had is in Italy. Add the waving of arms in the air and shouting and it wasn’t a pleasant experience. Funny enough the best I ever had was in Budapest and the weirdest in St Petersberg.

  9. Went there for my bday last year.. meh. It was good but not particularly memorable
