A first or second gen VW Golf GTIs with firmed up suspension are a joyous thing. Don’t knock it. My friend used to have the red vw from the pic when we were teenagers. It had darkened back windows thought. We called it the Red Devil.
we have to start to build it again. 1.9 TDi and 1.9 Multijet, 1.4 TDi or 1.3 Multijet for the small car without Fap or any other shit are capable of 20 km/ l and over 500k km of engine life. It is the peak of diesel engeneering in my opinion.
Best engine ever: 1.9 JTD, it can burn 60% gasoline 40% used frying oil
Don’t forget it cost 20.000**€** used
Wait till you see what the Egyptians are driving, when I was there there was a vw polo sitting on some 4×4 chassis and many other monsters, wanna know the best bit , had German plates on it
Gotta give an honorable mention to the 1.4 TDI.
Its pretty much the same engine with one less cylinder.
My dad has a Skoda Fabia 1.4TDI with almost 400k km and that mf is tiptop.
