Perils of living on the Welsh border, inconsistant speed signage.

  1. Looks the bridge forks into two directions. the 20mph sign applies to the bridge, and the 30mph sign is reminding people coming off the bridge that the limit is now 30 after being 20.

  2. Sign on the left has been spun around.

There’s one around the corner from my house where the 30 has been span around. Instead of fix it, they put up a second sign saying 30 about 50 meters before it. But there’s still speed bumps and “20” painted on the road.

  3. It’s not inconsistent they’re just in different languages. Thats how you say 30 in Welsh

  4. Add them up and tell the court you thought there was a big pothole on the other side of the hump that council planners had come up with a plan to avoid spending money on fixing.

  5. Not just on the boarder it’s the same in west Wales too , wanky speed signs on pole’s are 20 mph slower than the speed signs in front of them painted on the road 🤷‍♂️

  6. The one on the left is for motor vehicles, the one on the right is actually for that tubby seal who swims up the Wye

  7. The welsh should decide to drive on the right just to make things interesting.

  8. And to think that on some Welsh roads they both mean the same thing
