THE Ministry of Finance (MOF) has announced that the retail prices of key petroleum products in Malaysia will remain stable for the period of 13 February 2025 to 19 February 2025.
In a statement today, MOF said that according to the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM), the following prices have been fixed:
– RON97 Petrol**: RM3.43 per litre, unchanged from the previous week.
– RON95 Petrol**: RM2.05 per litre, maintaining its current rate.
– Diesel (Peninsular Malaysia)**: RM3.18 per litre, with no changes.
– Diesel (Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan)**: RM2.15 per litre, remaining consistent.
The government emphasised that it will continue to monitor global crude oil price trends and make necessary adjustments to ensure the well-being of the Malaysian public.
These measures reflect the government’s commitment to safeguarding the financial interests of citizens amid fluctuating global oil prices.
The decision to keep the retail prices unchanged follows a careful evaluation of current market conditions, and the government assures the public that it will take appropriate actions if needed to maintain economic stability. – February 12, 2025
