I was on FB earlier and there was a post about tourism in Kemi. One of the members posted this “to do list”. I think if you were to describe a stroke in a picture, this would be it. What the hell is even that???

At first I wasn’t sure, but getting my skin measured makes the 69€ worth it. Hopefully it’s included in the ‘almost all’ package
Biking with ru glus sounds fun, I hope I get the dog too for 69€
I think they tried to list all kinds of different things saying most of them are 69€ per person per activity.
Some of those are just.. odd choices
‘Almost all for 69€/adult or less’
At least it’s affordable 😭😭😭
Where else can you get to experience icebreaker AND king salmon for that kind of price?
the image of a polar bear is killing me lol. polar bears, animals famously known for residing in Finland.
Sin measure sounds good.
Perfect. Authentic, realistic, and affordable.
There is a polar bear zoo in Finland?
Kemi is Kouvola of Lapland.
Somewhere in the UK:
“Oh, our stay in Tenerife was just _exquisite_. The locals were so lovely and accomodating, the hotel we stayed at had this _gorgeous_ view of the sea and the tour we took around the island left us in awe of the local scenery.
Sent the kids off to the zoo with Nan on Saturday, then Connor and I spent the whole day sunbathing on the beach with cocktails in hand. Little Siobhan and Arlo couldn’t stop talking about the adorable little meerkats they had seen at the zoo that day! Nan showed us the pictures she took and I reckon they’ll be begging for a pet meerkat soon, haha.
Had a _beautiful_ evening at the seafood restaurant too, the oysters were freshly caught at the shore next to us, and cost a dime compared to back home. The wine was local too, one of the best whites I’ve tried!
*And* I brought you this handmade souvenir, isn’t it just marvelous? Ah, I can’t wait to go back next year! Anyways, where did Harry and you spend your holiday again? France?”
“Well, not quite… We had our sin measured and experienced King Salmon in Kemi. In Finland. You know, up there between Sweden and Russia? Some 10+ hours north from the capital. Also visited reindeer and shopped in Sweden, by snowmobile.
Polar bears might have been involved at some point too, I’m not sure anymore to be honest. It was so dark the whole time after all, and a local shaman had offered us this weird drink earlier. I’m quite sure there was purple smoke coming out of it. Couldn’t say “no” to it either, you know, didn’t want to seem rude or offend any of the old customs. Harry swears he saw a mummy skiing past our igloo that night.
All in all, only 69€ for the whole deal. We’ll probably try Tenerife too instead next year, though…”
Kemi is pretty much ugliest city in Finland. Great metal bands though.
VISIT SONATA ARCTICA MEMORIAL
EVERYTHING IN KEMI IS SONATA
Kemi is a pretty small city built around industry, I’ve always wondered how the tourism got popular but I guess it’s because of the Lumilinna/Snow castle. Around december/january time asian tourists can be seen wandering in the city.
