I don’t support cancel culture but doesn’t this undermine EU sanctions?
There should be a handy list of companies still operating in Russia that we should not buy from.
For those interested, the Yale School of Management has a list of all(?) the western companies operating in Russia on this page and their current status with the war in Ukraine: [those that left, those that are suspending activities in Russia, those that are defying the sanctions, etc… it’s all there](https://som.yale.edu/story/2022/over-400-companies-have-withdrawn-russia-some-remain).
I mean this make sense as in the long term nobody in the west will continue shopping with them.
There are many companies still trading or temporarily closed.
They aren’t a big presence in the US, but I have been a customer of their website. I got affordable soccer cleats and running clothes. No more. I have no interest in doing business with this Company.
Shame I loved going to decathlon but my money won’t go there anymore.
Bye bye decathlon.
I understand why French companies are reluctant to leave certain companies for political reasons, moreover when I see what happened with Peugeot in Iran.
Good.
I hope they get to near monopoly status and ruin the Russian trade balance further.
Decathlon- on the Dark Side.
I rarely go to Decathlon. Now I will go rarelerless.
I loved going to Decathlon and I think I’ll go there again tomorrow.
For the record, Decathlon and Leroy Merlin, the two most talked about french brands concerning Russia (not counting Renault who quickly changed their mind) are owned by the same family.
Hypermarkets Auchan are the main brand owned by the family, but they also created countless specialized retail brands, some of them being very successful.
Ive cancelled my order earlier this week because of this
Awful!
It’s very sad and infuriating to see that they care more about profits than human lives and environment!
It’s time to boycott this piece of shit company!
Yes, they can fill all the empty grocery store shelves, metal get’s old when wanting vegetables.
I really hope one day this virtue signaling will also be towards the US companies which are responsible for countless wars and destruction across the globe.

Till then I will just sigh at the hypocrisy shown
