  1. That’s nice. Would be even nicer if they would now stop cut funding social, education and such.

Not sure that will happen though….

  2. Bad planning. On the radio they call it *conservative budgeting* (by the cantons) but in reality it is just a bad planning that wastes resources; in this case provides less social services or less F35 than it should.

  3. Invest this money in mental health! It will pay for itself 🫶

  4. Alright. So we found some billions over there, calculated wrong with AHV, but still have to cut millions in education while giving billions more to the military in the next few years? All that while we urgently need to rise our VAT (on the cost of everyone, especially the poorest) and reduce the duty free amount for regular people? At the same time we can give additional billions for failing banks from our taxes and industry gets reduced import taxes?

Seriously, F*** this Abschaum in Bern.

  5. I’m not sure how many people read past the headline. We still have a deficit 🙄

“A deficit of CHF80 million ($88 million) instead of the budgeted CHF2.6 billion: for the first time since the Covid pandemic, the Swiss government has almost balanced its books, according to provisional figures. This means that part of the Covid debt can be reduced for the first time.”

And they were able to achieve this in part due to delaying investments in railways. So, that will have to come in the future.

  6. Then give it back to the people. Or pay the debt, which is the same thing.

  7. KKS is working with ideology and dogmatism and not for the people and the Confederation.

  8. They can use that to build a hangar their new jet fits into 👍👍

  9. We are cutting infrastructure investments but increasing military spending.

We need some adults in the room to talk about priorities.

  10. > In order to keep the federal finances in balance in the long term, the government believes that the relief package submitted for consultation at the end of January is necessary. Without this, deficits of around CHF2 billion a year are threatened in 2027 and 2028, it said.

Yeah…given they have repeatedly proven incapable of budgeting at that scale, how about we cut that ‘relief package’.

  11. That’s what pro-capital liberals ranging from the socialists to the SVP are always doing. Creating panic, reducing fundings, being wrong, things go to shit and then they want to privatize. All lobbied ghouls at the mercy of the capital.

We gotta get rid of all these merchants of misery and poverty. They have to work for us, not for the corporations they aim to join once they did enough damage to the public sector.
