3rd wheel got damn
yeah fuck USA, you are on your own with China.
I was saying this all time, Trump is a russian asset and he always was. Russians were funneling huge money into getting him to win election and it was worth it.
The modus operandi is now that of a NYC mob boss running a protection racket.
The Ukrainians are going to get so fucked by this.
Years of fighting and dying and they’ll still lose all the territory they were fighting for, everyone gets pissed, votes out Zelynsky, Russia installs a Russian puppet, completes takeover.
Zelensky/Ukraine is not going to roll over for Trump and Putin just like that.
What is going to happen in Ukraine is going to be a message for all those with expansion ideias. If the aggressor wins we’ll see other wars soon all over the world.
How funny it would be to strengthen our relations with China now and leave the orange fart alone with his mobster friends. Maybe we´ll finally wake up.
Putin was just stalling until his american fuckbuddy rose back to power all along.
Ukraine has been thrown under the bus and the EU and European NATO partners have been caught with their pants down. We should have better prepared for this. This was 3 months in the making. We should have been at a point where extra weapons would be crossing the border into the Ukraine right now. We should make sure it is not the US who makes this deal.
NATO might have to plan for a future without the USA.
Ordering those super expensive F-35’s must feel great then.
This is a consequence of being reliant on American weapons.
Depending on what is actually in the peace deal, this could be a good thing ultimately
The worst part – all the reactions and comments from Trumpers. They genuinely think he’s bringing peace.
A capitulation, an unconditional surrender, a betrayal, a backstab. That’s what it is.
I am devastated, can’t imagine what Ukrainians feel today.
The question now is whether Ukraine will be left fighting completely alone or if Europe will take action.
Shame. It’s a funeral of American honour of which there is nothing left. Shame.
Maybe it’s about something we as Europe do something more drastic?
For example, European forces enter Western Ukraine to ensure its defense so that Ukrainian troops are released to go to the frontline?
Closing the Baltic Sea for Russian shipping as well?
I was happy to hear Germany would get a 100B military investment boost in the beginning. Unfortunately it ended up as a tribute to the imperial centre. E.g. F-35 purchase.
I did tell my Ukrainian friends that historically the odds were high that they would end up feeling like South Vietnamese, western oriented Afghans etc etc. They were sceptical at first but general agreed towards the middle of last year.
They planned for a Trump winter. Ye of little faith. Tsk tsk
Curious how Europe seems to be at pains to have Ukraine carry on the war without themselves committing their own armed forces.
the same for europe, they waited 3 years for this shitty moment and did almost nothing
Putin finally can suck the cock of trump and Elon at the same time, get money and weapons to kill off more Ukrainian people, and then spent trillions in rebuilding the country to be a propaganda machine for Russia and the US.
At least Neville Chamberlain negotiated a disastrous deal in good faith that no leader would be mad enough to plunge Europe into a second world war. Trump, Hegseth and their fellow travellers have no such excuse and can look back at the catastrophe of 1938 to see what happens when big powers carve up small states and proclaim peace.
Trump is being a pussy, again.
So, can EU wake up and stop being a vassal to the US?
I mean fuck Trump but we can’t just blame everything on him. EU and Biden administration half-assed helping Ukraine and made this scenario possible where two autocrats toy with Ukraine
Trump just handed Putin an uncompromising victory on a silver platter. Trump just made the countless deaths and injuries among Ukrainian soldiers completely pointless
So much for “nEveR agAIn!”. Yet again a nation is betrayed by those supposed to protect it and carved up by the aggressor.
American garbage
The EU should have done more instead of relying on US aid. This is a war in our backyard. We are at fault here.
This could only happen because the EU is so damn weak and insecure.
Every support for Ukraine from the EU gets either blocked or delayed by some dipshit politican. Usually Orban or any other little puppy of Putin.
And the upconing shitstorm that is the strengthening of the far right parties in the EU will make it so much worse.
Everything that trump is doing is exactly why putin invested so much in trolls, bots, misinformation etc.
The cancer has now spread
The greatest ever argument for a sovereign Europe has just been made. Hopefully more people listen to the French. The Americans can’t be trusted
Time for complaining is over we should actually do something and send troops to defend Ukraine.
Remember the Afghan fiasco? Trump negotiated a surrender to the Taliban without the Afghani government participating or approving then blamed Biden?
Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. Worse, this time, it’s Trump as a stooge to Putin. I wonder, though, if Zalensky will roll over for the mango beluga
If we in Europe just let this happen, that’s on us. Shameful.
Let’s kick all these imperialist scum out of our continent
Why does it `have the same feel as Stalin & Hitler dividing Poland?
EU needs to unit like never before, not just an economic, but also a military alliance. All for one, one for all… and we can start with Ukraine.
Ceasefires and agreements worked so far very well with Putin…or wait…
CNN using the word “alleged” makes them complicit to the war crimes.
Never thought I’d see Russia win over the US.
Sadly,.it Looks like Putin got his way.
As a Canadian it’s a bit scary. I’m hoping we join the EU. Make better partners and shun the Americans for decades. As if we’ve gone back 200 years. We politely declined to join the US. We kicked their ass in our last war. Even burnt down the presidential house (1814), since rebuilding it, it’s known as the white house. In WWI we were referred to as Britain’s lackey. Not taken seriously….lol, maybe they should have. We went so dark everyone looked around after and declared the Geneva Convention was needed because Canadians are F-ing dark. We didn’t take POWs because they were too expensive amongst other surprising atrocities. The US was fortunate to be our ally in that war. We became the most feared ally amongst Germans…. especially for trench raids…it was surprising how good our boys were at killing in trenches.
This time around it may be economic war but it’s still war.
I can’t help but feel like we are the next Ukraine sometimes. His playbook about Canada is how Putin started with.
It’s a bit depressing. I’m just hoping Putin doesn’t take us too. Let’s face it, Trump is either taking orders for some reason or is simply a traitor who’s doing it willingly.
The best time to federalise Europe was yesterday. The second best time is today. The longer we wait, the worse our lives will be. We cannot depend on US and I have no clue why everyone ignored Bush Jr and first term of Trump.
This outcome is spit in the face of ukranians and a warning to every so-called ally of America across the world.
However, I’m struggling to see this as a great Putin win? Wasn’t the entire point of the invasion to reduce or eliminate American / NATO influence in Ukraine? So now 3/4 of Ukraine are handed to American corporations to plunder on a silver platter (to mine for those rare minerals). Does this not mean that Putin got the exact opposite of what he wanted to do?
Trump and Putin carving up the world like a modern day Yalta
If only Europe could now come together and take leadership of the situation.
We cant just let the yankoid scum abandon Ukraine.
We must keep supporting them, no matter what the orange prick declares!
Fuck the USA.
Unfortunately this farce is making me lose my faith in the good. Kindness, love, justice, unity and fairness don’t matter in the world. The good doesn’t win. Greed, narcissism, evil, money, destruction, injustice, corruption and bullying do. I hate human beings.
black cough leather cough Biatch. Cough cough. THe whole EU is left in the cold beause of this crap
I’m sure the mighty European Union can handle a nation with a lower GDP than Italy.
Genuine question: but what do many Europeans think the US should do given where things are currently at with the war? (I’m Cambodian-American)
If Russia is seen as a threat that might take over half of Europe, wouldn’t that justify putting NATO / EU / an EU country’s boots on the ground at some point? Would some / most Europeans ok with this?
And given the fickle nature of US foreign policy at this point, wouldn’t it make sense for Europe to invest heavily in their own military-industrial complex so it can reliably defend itself against potential incursion in the future? Trump might be out in four years, but I feel like over time, and once trump is gone, the dem party (whenever they’re back in power) is going to want more money to be spent on health care and less on the military.
Or should the goal be continued or increased arms shipments, and continuing the meat grinder war that’s currently taking place. Some issues I see is that Russia is on a full out war footing, has more bodies to throw into the meat grinder, and countries like China and India are helping Russia skirt sanctions out of their own self-interest. Sanctions might have hurt Russia’s economy, but they haven’t crippled it like many experts argued they would at the start of the war. The longer this war continues, the stronger China gets, which created an even greater national security threat imho. I know there’s a lot of hating on tariffs, but has EU considered raising tariffs on India and China for their enabling of Russia?
Interested in hearing your thoughts.
(I know I’m not European, but this sub and post keeps on showing up on my feed)
