  1. KYIV (Reuters) – President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Thursday Ukraine would not accept any bilateral agreement on its fate reached by Moscow and Washington without Kyiv’s involvement, and called for Europe to have a seat at the table in negotiations to end the war.

    The Ukrainian leader made the comments at a nuclear plant on his way to the Munich Security Conference, a day after U.S. President Donald Trump spoke to Russian leader Vladimir Putin Zelenskiy and announced the start of negotiations.

    “We, as an independent country, simply will not be able to accept any agreements without us,” Zelenskiy told reporters.

  4. Through Trump’s actions, we are becoming part and parcel of Putin’s land grab. It is heinous. Not only should Zelensky refuse to accept it, he should send his ‘No thank you’ by way of explosives to the Kremlin.

    Any deal without Ukraine is a massive betrayal to Ukraine and all those who have fought and died for Ukraine, for their right to be an independent nation and choose their own path away from Russia.

    We all know what happened when a similar betrayal happened at the Munich Conference and what that led to in 1939.

  13. I mean get real. Ofcource the USA and Russia can not decide on anything regarding Ukraine sovereignty without Ukraine accepting it much as little as they can decide if the EU will support Ukraine or not or trade with Russia or not.

    Certainly they can try and maybe manage to retaliate, but certainly they cant decide. In that case look at both the US and former USSR trying to decide for Afghanistan. Diden’t really work out that great. Get real. A lasting peace would ofcource include Ukraines own involvement.

    I am not blaming the guy for not accepting the deal, as nobody else should accept it either

  19. Allowing Russia win at this point would be extremely stupid. Their economy is bleeding hard af right now. They are gaining territory slowly but it comes at very high price. Almost no heavy equipment, soldiers being transported by civilian cars etc. Just keep the sanctions and continue helping Ukraine. This is the only way to ensure Russia will not be able to just rebuild their military and attack again. Not to mention Ukraine gains exactly nothing with this “peace deal”…

  20. It’s ludicrous to have a “peace treaty” negotiated that doesn’t involve Ukraine in this situation. Their country is affected, they should have a say in the matter.

  21. Of course he wouldn’t, why would he. 

    He was never expected to. Trump is going to “negotiate” a plan with Russia and present it to Ukraine. When Ukraine says “of course not, wtf?” then Trump will say Russia just wants peace and that Ukraine is being unreasonable. Then he will lift sanctions on Russia and try to normalize relations. 

    All part of the plan.

    Any peace negotiation need to involve Ukraine and Europe.

  25. So obviously Trump bluffed about 500bn in order to help Ukraine, so Zelenskyy would say no and Trump would have a reason to stop aid.

    Zelenskyy called that bluff and said yes and right now he is taking another direction, because he doesn’t want to stand against his buddy Putin.

  29. I think Trump wants to “maximize” this peace by claiming he stopped the war (with Ukraine losing its territory and Russia basically handed a win), by “sticking it up to Europe”, and by claiming he made a fantastic deal for Ukraine’s rare earth metals.

    What a soulless, abjectly evil asshat you have to be to pull something like that after seeing Ukraine fight for it’s survival for 3 damn years.

    A Lot of people all around the world are going to turn away from the US. The enormous layer of soft power it had is quickly vaporizing.

Why on earth would a sovereign country that was invaded agree to any peace “deals” that were negotiated between a crooked ass criminal that’s trying to extort said country and the fucking country that did the invading?

    This timeline is absolutely fucking ridiculous. Once again, trump actually could have the opportunity to do something that would actually put him in a good light (AGAIN) by fully supporting Ukraine and helping put putin and russia to bed, just like with israel and gaza, and instead he’s bending the knee and letting putin blow his back out.

    It’s absolutely pathetic and he needs to be gone asap.

  31. Why is trump even doing this?? This is like Canada talking to Portugal to broker a deal to return a chunk of Brazil back to the Portuguese… makes no sense. Lol. Use someone else as a mediator? Sure, but Ukr/ Rus need to talk…. include an EU delegation, but not trump…
