Brown paper envelopes full of money changing hands, just how the Tories like it.
Cretins in this country will keep voting Tory too, because they’re fucking idiots that believe all the shit they read in the shitrag press.
> But under government plans, compensation will be offered based on ticket price and journey length.
That doesn’t seem to be too much of a problem does it, other types of refund are usually based on what you paid.
We all miss the point Brexit was to give power to the Tories and all the super rich that pay for them. The dozy sods that voted them in and got us out of Europe are the so called Entitled Boomers that do not have long on the planet,
they have draining NHS dry bleeding the pension to death and killing pubic transport. These boomers fuckers never had it rough never but by fuck they are going to screw the future for all and sundry
Does it benefit the consumer/public or the bottomline of the business?
Slashing that red tape and public protection.
The Tory Party
Getting Brexit dumb
I remember some minister saying that the best way to attract investment into the UK rather than low tax countries like Eire and Luxembourg is to make our tax rate even lower
They will proclaim that Brexit was a success and use companies moving operations to the UK as evidence, conveniently ignoring the reason for that is because theyve shredded environmental legislation and workers and consumer rights.
Unfortunately, many brexiteers didn’t see the EU regulations as consumer protection or regulation of our government. These thoughts were suppressed by the toxic right wing narrative of bullshit such as ‘taking control of our <insert pretty much anything>’.
It’s always been a big benefit of being in the EU, now it’s gone, we’re fucked. This is the tip of the iceberg. Things are only going to get worse.
Psst: Your government is trying to kill you only a bit slower than our own should the Republicans and their minions get their way
Leave voters got hung up on the idea of taking back control that they failed to think about who they were giving it back to. It was never going back to the people, it was going back to the government. People seemed to ignore the fact that they were giving that power to a government that cares more about the rich and powerful becoming more rich and powerful than it does about the average person. The EU may not have been perfect but it was far more likely to put the rights of the average person over the rights of the rich than the Tories ever will.
“Yet more”? Genuinely curious as I’ve been out of loop – what have they scrapped so far?
It’s ass-covering for the inevitable news story we will hear about a UK resident Russian oligarch who denounces putin, who is found after “committing suicide” at a corner beef canning plant.
It’s like they’re asking for a revolution. Let’s see what happens when they keep pushing buttons…
We’re a prison colony. Not allowed to live anywhere else, and beholden to what these fuckers lay out for us. Unbelievable.
The REALLY sad thing is, this pathetic government is getting rid of the things that genuinely protect us, but keeping the outlying nonsense rules that we could actually do without.
Flight compensation? Let’s get rid of that, but stupid volume limiters on ipods? Keep!
Lets get rid of these awful employment protections,…. But let’s make sure all cars have to have poxy speed limiters.
Utter nonsense.
This is what it’s going to be like from now with just a constant drip feed of these announcements so people don’t see the wider picture. Tory Brexiteers are going to slowly peel away regulations, standards, benefits and protections that we enjoyed in the EU over time so most people won’t notice them going until the day they effect them.
If you looked at the rhetoric and arguments made by the primary supporters of Brexit this is what they wanted all along and the primary driver of their “Euroscepticism”. The end game will be to “reform” the rules implemented under the Working Time Directive. I suspect the first to go will be the supposed cap on how many hours you can work per week to “improve productivity” given “most people opt out” while totally ignoring that most people do not.
