There was a brief moment there were I thought Trump might pleasantly surprise, nay, shock me and his self serving personality would pay off. He was going to extort Ukraine for all of their rare earth minerals in occupied Donetsk, betray Putin, put American boots on the ground, and make America a fuck ton of money while liberating Ukraine and crippling Russia. But that fantasy lasted like… a day.
It’s almost like Trump’s very agenda is to undermine alliances, disrupt NATO, disrupt the world petrodollar, end America’s world influence, disrupt its intelligence and communications, sow internal divisions, disrupt world trade agreements, increase trade barriers, and give Russia and Putin everything they want.

1. He gave Russia major concessions before negotiations even started. No return to previous borders, no acceptance into NATO.
2. He said that Russia has fought hard for the land they took…essentially saying they put in the sweat equity to keep it.
3. He said that he and Putin agreed there’s been too much bloodshed…umm, hello? Putin started and is solely responsible for perpetuating bloodshed. If Putin agreed, he could just stop.
He is doing everything he can here to rewrite Russia as a reasonable actor here worthy of concessions in their favor.
