About a year ago, somebody showed me “[fip](https://www.fip.fr/)”. It’s an amazing music radio station, that apparently was intended to fill silent periods on french public radio for some decades. Since the internet got big, they’ve been extending their range, and they now got a tiny, practical app for smartphones that will play any of their channels wherever you are.
So, thank you for the music, fip, and keep up the good spirit!

My dream job is planning the music program on this radio station. I discovered so many great artists thanks to them. Actual public service.
This radio is fantastic and the artists or genres are very diverse. Sometimes when I turn it on there is very strange music going on but you have to listen to everything.
In my opinion this is some kind of unwritten contract between you and FIP, that you accept every song that is played even if sometimes you truly dont enjoy it, but FIP will make you discover some amazing stuff as payment.
My favorite station, can hear it for hours. Mostly jazzy, but very eclectic. And the app have some sub radios witch are also great.

Not exactly. It’s France Inter Paris, it filled the silent periods while you were stuck in traffic on _le périphérique_, giving you indications about how long it would be between Porte de Champerret and Porte de la Chapelle.

And I love their thematic webradios. It’s like main radio is eclectic and webradios are very specialized, making a whole complete offer based on their incredible tastes and skills, since musical selectas are the same people making all the radios.
The team I was in had the chance to build the website, I’m so proud of this 🙂
Still listening to it even if I’ve left Radio France two years ago.
