    Time for actually competent European leaders to come forward. (Edit – no, I can’t see any, at least not in the big countries. With Merz, we will see.)

  18. Normally a sitting VP would be eager to do anything, especially meet with a foreign leader. That way when they run for President they can highlight their experience and relationships with foreign leaders as a sign of their foreign policy credentials. Its pathetic.

  19. How long until the majority gets it… since before brexit and before trump’s first term, there was a deal. A deal to share world influence between a small (0.1%) nucleus of beneficiaries that would do as they please in the area and probably deal with each other similar to business men. US has the americas, putin gets europe, asia im still in doubt given china-ru relations vs china-us. The criminal elite that made everyone’s lives worse worldwide would get revenge on the europe that regulated them and get rich by selling weapons, gas, food to everywhere when the union crumbles.

  20. Enough of trying to appease Trump and his cronies. Europe should join forces with the rest of the free world and fill the gap left by the US. It’s either Europe to fulfill that role or in the end it will be China.
