Me and my girl friend just got a puppy and we wanted to do all the paper work for insurance, regulations and etc

but when I try to find where to register a dog, I can find any answer and all good answers take me to this site [https://www.kennelliitto.fi/en/dog-ownership/registering-your-dog](https://www.kennelliitto.fi/en/dog-ownership/registering-your-dog)
Should we take him to the vet or something? what is the next step?
Thank you, also picture of Charlie bellow

I hope you find out, sorry I can’t help, I would recommend asking a vet. Congrats on the puppy it looks to be a top 10 good boi
First go here and get account credentials for omakoira with web bank credentials authenticate https://omakoira.kennelliitto.fi/jasentiedot/register.aspx?referral=3&lang=fi Then you register dog https://www.kennelliitto.fi/omakoira-palvelu also make owner declaration here https://www.kennelliitto.fi/omistajailmoitus . In vet they out this microship to the dog after. If questions put email jasenasiat@kennelliitto.fi or call 09 8873 0244 businesday clock 11-17 between.
Really? Getting a dog before figuring these things out…. ? Doesn’t bode well for welfare of the dog.
The breeder is always responsible for the registration for domestic dogs, not the buyer.
However, if the dog is mixed breed the owner can “register” it. Basically that just means that the dog is eligible to compete in agility etc.
Dog breeder here, hi.
The breeder is the one who must register the dog, and the parents must also be registered.
Did you get a blue paper that are the puppys official papers? In there is listed all the information if the puppy, official name with kennel name and the kennel club register number, microchip, pedigree, etc etc?
With your puppys official name you can find them on koiranet jalostustietojärjestelmä https://jalostus.kennelliitto.fi/
If you dont have these, then it is likely your dog is not registered and if your breeder told you otherwise, you might have been scammed. You can register the puppy into a fix register meant for mixed breeds.
You can ask me more questions if you wish.
