SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A group protested Elon Musk’s government-cutting efforts outside the state’s only Tesla showroom in South Burlington Thursday.
Organizers say they’re taking a stand against the world’s richest man’s “dismantling of our democracy.”
It comes as Vermont Thursday signed onto another in a string of multi-state lawsuits, saying the president violated the Constitution by creating the Department of Government Effciency without congressional approval.
The lawsuit seeks to invalidate any actions already taken by DOGE, which Musk leads, and block further changes.
Musk co-founded Tesla and currently has about 20 percent ownership of the EV maker.
