It’s a political statement.
I do not feel a strong affinity with the current Trump administration, but people who keep drawing parallels between them and the Nazi regime smack to me like very low in intelligence. If one would have taken at least the minimal amount of effort to do the very least amount of research, one could very easily confirm with great confidence that they both differ fundamentally in historical context, ideological goals, and magnitude of violence.
Calling them Nazi’s only aids your own resentment and it absolves you from any kind of responsibility to assess the situation in its capacity as it is.

How do you intend to sway the people who now cast their votes for Trump cause to embrace a vision more aligned with your preferences, while at the same time addressing their legitimate concerns in a manner that compels them to reconsider their allegiance, *despite* them being a bunch of assholes??
