“Highly regrettable” because they got called out, not because they care.
For marijuana? Say it isn’t so. My god, what has become of the younger generation. They just wanna smoke weed and be online playing their silly little games.
The police did their job, the school didn’t do theirs.
It’s not clear they did act unlawfully here.
The problem is, we live in a country where anyone can be stopped and searched without a reason (up to and including strip searches). And we have decided to fight a pointless war on drugs.
As long as those things are true, some kids will be strip searched. You can’t exactly blame the police for that, we are the ones voting for the people making these laws…
