Pleased the government have stuck to their guns on this issue anyway. An Indian trade deal is not worth selling out our European allies over Russias invasion. Not sure how advantageous a trade deal with India would be for us regardless of this stumbling block anyway
Can anyone do a word count on the word ‘India’ in that article?
It sounds silly and somewhat patronising:
“British government’s diplomatic efforts to persuade India to take a stand against Russia.”
Amateur Indian government always in need of British officials to explain where to stand./s
India’s biggest arm’s dealer has been Russia for decades.
And trade deals have been developed for 30-40 years .
Some yard truths
China
India both have billion+ population and are still trading with Russia.
Germany are still buying oil & gas from Russia.
Rishi sunak’s wife has ongoing business in Russia which is still active even after sanctions.

The hypocrisy of the West is beyond ridiculous..
can we talk about https://polyptics.com/who-is-rishi-sunaks-wife-and-why-is-she-so-important/ and how Rishi Sunak is profiteering from it??
Good for them. They shouldn’t have to sabotage their development/their attempt to catch up just because developed countries tell them to.
India, China and Russia as sticking together, for now. This might be the beginning of a new geopolitical reality.
