The Minister for National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government, Owen Bonnici, has announced the guidelines and regulations for the 2025 Artistic Heritage Scheme. This initiative continues to support cultural and social organisations in Malta and Gozo that work voluntarily to strengthen and preserve traditions linked to Maltese village feasts.
The scheme covers three main categories:
Band Clubs and Musical Societies for Feasts – Up to €8,000 per eligible entity
Health and Safety in Firework Workshops – Up to €5,000 per eligible entity*
Semi-Permanent Artistic Decorations – Up to €5,000 per eligible entity
(*Organisations using firework workshops that are not their own may benefit from a maximum of €2,500.)
“This scheme is designed to provide the necessary support to those who work tirelessly to keep our artistic and musical traditions alive. We urge organisations to apply and benefit from this fund.” Rita Falzon, Head of Funds at the Arts Council Malta, said.
