My Finnish friend told me about this. Badass as fuck.
While Koivunen was hiking through the wilderness, he caught and ate a Siberian jay (kuukkeli). This detail is actually kind of sinister. The Siberian jay lives deep in the wildwoods, but it is a curious and fearless bird, that will often eat from the hand of a hunter. According to Finnish folklore, Siberian jays are in fact souls of dead hunters. Killing a Siberian jay was, of course, taboo.
