Over 1 month fighting, Russian losses somewhere between 15,000 and 40,000 soldiers. The original plan was a 15 days war. And the Russian forces just manage to gain some 100 km of the eastern part of Ukraine. As it is now Putin could easily be looking forward to 150,000 to 400,000 dead Russian soldiers until he takes all of Ukraine. Soviet Russian style, just send in more troops until the enemy runs out of bullets.
This all reminds me of WW2 and how the generals in charge always said that victory will be quick and the war will be short, and they always fought for multiple months over one place.
Mobilizing more men won’t help their hopeless logistic situation, or that most of their gear belongs to a junkjard or a musuem.
It is a little sad that more young Russians will die for Putins ego, but it seems that is what Russians want.
And ofcourse much more sad is that innocent Ukranians suffer under this idiotic suicidal powerplay.

More soldiers to feed and provide vehicles and fuel for on the front while they already struggle. Great idea!
