  46. The NNSA/DOE does more than oversee our nuclear weapons stockpile. They monitor nuclear material controlled by private entities for research, medical, and other applications (in conjunction with the NRC). They track radioactive material so terrorists don’t get their hands on it.

    Reckless layoffs like this don’t just hurt our ability to maintain our nuclear weapons, *it hinders our ability to stop terrorists from making dirty bombs.*
