Richard Gere and his wife Alejandra celebrated their first Valentine’s Day living in Spain.
On Tuesday, February 14, Alejandra, 41, posted an Instagram Story revealing that the 75-year-old legendary actor got her flowers for the special occasion. The couple moved to Spain — where Alejandra is from — in November 2024 after selling their $11 million Connecticut home, making this their first Valentine’s Day in Europe.

Alejandra shared a selfie in front of a bookcase in her home, wearing a white sweater with her hair down while holding a bouquet of roses wrapped in pink paper. Not much of the flower arrangement her hubby gave her was visible in the photo, but a light-colored rose could be seen in the corner.
“Happy Valentine’s Day Roses from my love,” the publicist wrote in white text alongside a red heart emoji.

Earlier in the week, Alejandra posted pictures from her trip with the Golden Globe Award winner to Granada, Spain, for the 2025 Goya Awards.
The Pretty Woman star received a lifetime achievement honor at the award show on Saturday, February 8.
Alejandra shared a photo of her and the Runaway Bride actor posing with the Goya Award between their heads while traveling back to their home base in Madrid on a private airplane.
“Back home, grateful to the @academiadecine for an unforgettable night,” she wrote in the caption. “Thank you@antoniobanderas for always being by our side and making the night even more magical, see you soon #Granada #RichardGere #Goya.”
The duo met in 2014 and tied the knot in 2018. They share two sons, Alexander, 5, and James, 4. Richard also has a son from his marriage to Carey Lowell and so does Alejandra from her marriage to Govin Friedland.
Last month, the couple spoke to Elle España and explained they loved their new life abroad.
“We are happier than ever. She, because she’s at home and I because, if she’s happy, I’m happy,” the American Gigolo star told the publication.
Alejandra gushed about their love, telling the outlet, “We are like soulmates. We have the same values, we see the world in the same way and from the first moment we feel that we have known each other for a long time. And this only happens once, if it happens to you… We were united by the karma of our past lives.”
