Interesting how the Watergate scandal has become a unit of measurement.
And barely makes a peep in the media.
Watergate wouldn’t even be a scandal if it happened today. That’s how far gone we are.
And this is just the beginning, folks – be ready for more in-your-face corruption, criminality, and authoritarian thuggery from this “justice” department and the musk/trump regime
Hey SCOTUS if you wanted to make up for your recent decisions and blithering dissents…you could actually leave a legacy that wouldn’t be framed as disgraceful or unconstitutional…..here’s to hoping you all have spines!
it’s nice to know what reporters & opinion writers think about all this & all, but I need to know what Chuck Grassley thinks – what John Cornyn thinks — what Mike Lee thinks — what Lindsey Graham thinks — what Josh Hawley thinks — what Thom Tillis thinks — what John Kennedy thinks — what Marsha Blackburn thinks — what Ted Cruz thinks — what Katie Britt thinks — what Marsha Blackburn — what Ashley Moody thinks.
reporters need to have been camped out on these elected officals’ doorsteps, on their lawns, in their parking lots, yesterday, insisting they say something publicly about it.
Shouldn’t Pam Bondi be the one facing removal?
And yet, Trump and Bondi stand because they have absolutely no shame.
but its somehow never worse than Nixon
Do you wanna drop charges against this eminently hateable man for the benefit of this other eminently hateable man?
What I find interesting is the first lawyer to decline the invitation to get thrown under the bus by the trump administration and his lackey, pam bondage is/was a trump supporter.
AND given the subsequent declination’s of other Lawyers to show their support for trump to be thrown under the bus makes it even harder for that one lawyer who is willing to get thrown under the bus to stand before a judge and attempt rationalize the obvious quid pro quo.
looks like trump is running into individuals who are in CYOA mode with regards to his…agenda.
Bigger than watergate. And it will drop off the news cycle in 3 days. This is America
has the swamp begun draining yet
/s if needed.
People seem not to realize this is what Trump/Musk want. Not only are the charges against their new stooge dropped, but any prosecutor who won’t blindly go along with them is leaving.
Bondi is going to realize real quick just how hard her job is without all the top tier people that just resigned
Why isn’t our press talking about this? This is the biggest constitutional and openly corrupt crisis happing simultaneously that we have faced in our history.
And ABC Nightly News is just like Meh… leads with weather, then spends 3 minutes deep into the news cast with some piece about Trump liking Putin.
The judge isn’t going to accept this dismissal whenever the request gets signed, for the very thorough reasons explained in the first resignation letter, and then we’re in for some real hilarious shenanigans.
I don’t understand the resignations. All this does is allow them to backfill the positions with people who won’t question it in the future.
I swear they did this just to get rid of all of the people with integrity.
Pam Bondi is a terrible person
This is going to get very ugly and waste a lot of our tax dollars and for what? Just to appease a jerks ego and power trip. Sad thing, no one can stop him.
Why would resignation be helpful in keeping things accountable?
Are they effectively saying, no I won’t dismiss this, ask someone else?
Otherwise, having a ton of people resign from the government is actually what our new President King wants.
She’s trashy. Fits right in.
Isn’t that what they want?
Bondi gave W the 2000 election. She’s horrible, just what the doctor ordered.
Watergate is adorable by today’s (lack of) standards.
At this point they’re just rubbing it in our faces of how corrupt they can be
Maybe there is a message behind those resignations, I don’t know…just a wild guess.
What really screws with my brain is how I just can’t decide whether I like honourable people resigning in protest over overt corruption. On the one hand you prove that you won’t sink to the level of fascists, but on the other hand you probably yield your position to an authoritarian lickspittle. Which helps fascists in the end, especially if such resignations in protest happen en masse.
Have we burned the constitution yet?
Because it’s corrupt as fuck.
As this administration and their trampling GOP cucks in congress watch the us constitution burn
Nixon should have never been pardoned. If there’s no accountability people will just continue to be criminals without consequence.
Never forget: She stopped an investigation into trump’s fraudulent “university” after he paid her off.
