>Speaking in front of around 50 tractors at Belmont Farm in North London, Farage insinuated that the Labour government had a “sinister agenda” to acquire “lots of land because they’re planning for another five million people to come into the country”.
>Farage’s comments appear to reference the unfounded conspiracy theory that governments are seizing land from farmers to house migrants, which has been spread by far-right commentators in Europe.
>In November, DeSmog reported that TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson had also made apparent references to the conspiracy theory – which seems to be gaining growing traction in the UK – writing in The Sun newspaper, that he was “convinced” that Labour had a “sinister plan” to “ethnically cleanse the countryside of farmers” to make room for “immigrants and net zero wind farms.”
>This claim is borne from the “Great Replacement” conspiracy theory, which holds that progressive immigration policies are a mechanism to replace white people in the West, and has been cited by Donald Trump in recent months. There is no evidence supporting this theory, and the civil rights group the Southern Poverty Law Centre describes it as “racist” and “inherently white supremacist.”
>Joe Stanley, a farmer from Leicestershire and regional chairman for the National Farmers Union (NFU), said he was “disgusted” by Farage’s claims but told DeSmog farmers were becoming “an increasingly fertile ground for the far-right” due to the failures of successive Labour and Conservative policies.
>“Farmers feel so completely betrayed by the mainstream political parties of both colours, they are understandably veering off into the populist right-wing world of conspiracy theories and extremism,” he said.
>“It will end in disaster because populism always does, but I don’t blame farmers for desperately looking for answers,” he added.
and the dopey slabs of meat that follow him will eat it
how do they get away with literal lies and the media entertain these people with as much good fair as possible, it’s rotting this country from the core
Saw this on a video earlier in the week and thought I was going mental because no-one else is talking about it.

At this point, the mainstream media is complicit in covering up for this nutcase.
I’m sure the ball bag was just concerned and was rightly asking questions
When people say that the Green Party doesn’t deserve media attention because of their batshit nuclear policy or something, I wonder why Farage is getting all this uncritical media attention despite saying some truly batshit stuff and wanting to implement some actually insane policies?
Of course he does, who but the discontented hard-of-thinking would listen to that muppet’s dumb, divisive and devious drivel??
There’s probably a ‘D’ for every hat there…
If we’re going to import infinity migrants they’ve got to bloody well live somewhere. I guess that’s a conspiracy theory too.
How is this a conspiracy theory?. Britain needs more housing, don’t wanna hand in nature zones so you’re looking at procuring farmland and zoning it residential. Its been happening for years, just at a slow pace.
Genuine question.
> Farage’s comments appear to reference the unfounded conspiracy theory that governments are seizing land from farmers to house migrants
Makes me wonder what Farage and his supporters think the motive for this would be. I’ve got my money on “shady global cabal of [insert minority here].”
Conspiracy theory maybe but also maybe not that far off the mark. Local governments are after land for housing and solar projects so putting pressure on farmers is in line with freeing up the land for these purposes.
That cancerous turd spreads nothing but misery.
When will people learn that he lies?
Is he cosplaying as a farmer again? I’ve seen that one already, he needs to update his costume.
Grifter. Say no more. Whenever his name is mentioned just say ‘Grifter’. It will stick.
Our economy is built on more people taking on mortgages and debt, without it we won’t be able to pay for pensions and benefits, not to mention the NHS and whatever else. We must continue to spread out from cities. We should be empowering people to buy new homes, even if it means over green space.
So in a way..
When there’s a million people moving here every year it’s hardly a conspiracy theory to point out they’d need to be housed somewhere
[removed]
The fishermen never learnt from being duped by him
Neither will the farmers
You guys need to raise money and spend it on advertising to counter this bullshit. This is what was going on before Trump happened. The stupid people voted for the most idiotic crap you have ever heard in your life. Social media is not your friend.
How is it a conspiracy theory? When we are clearly housing migrants in a bunch of hotels already?
He’s desperate for a US trade deal which will probably mean taking their agricultural stuff which will fuck our farmers. Why can’t people see what a bunch of grifters Reform are?
Start moving them to all the middle class suburbs on the outskirts of London. Let these out of touch lizards deal with these people for once.
Well, this explains a lot,
>Monday’s event, which preceded over a thousand tractors descending on Westminster, was organised by the anti-vax campaign group Together Declaration and the protest organisation Farmers To Action.
>Set up in 2021 to oppose mandatory Covid-19 protection measures, such as lockdowns and vaccines, the Together Declaration has since launched a “no to net zero” campaign that calls for the UK to scrap policies designed to cut greenhouse gas emissions.
>…
>The group has recently partnered with Farmers To Action, which has used recent anti-inheritance tax campaigns to spread anti-climate views.
>The leader of Farmers to Action, Justin Rogers, has spread conspiracy theories across his social media accounts. He has claimed that “climate change is one of the biggest scams that has ever been told”, propagated by “our governments and their puppet masters.”
>Rogers has also claimed that oil and gas are renewable, and that carbon dioxide cannot be dangerous because it “feeds plants”.
It’s just crazy to see Farmers have anything to do with him – Brexit has done far more damage to Farmers than the plans for IHT will do and yet they’re happy to stand with him to protest?
They really need to speak to the fishing industry that he completely stabbed in the back
How is this a conspiracy theory? Labour wants to build houses, forcing farmers to sell is one way to get land to do this, 5/7 of new houses will go to immigrants. This is just what is happening
Everything he said is verifiable. Op is doing propaganda against working class.
Well the facts are we do need more homes, these homes are needed for UK people and people settling here.
Yes sure we can build on brownfield but we also prob need to build on the green belt.
UK has huge problems with planning it does need to be relaxed, allowing farming land to be converted to building land will give the farmers a 1 time cash boost (unless it’s on leasehold, a farming friend of mine did a deal with a company to build am out of town shopping centre, the units are all on lease and there is a profit share between the company and the farmer)
Lats also be honest just about every mp and party are lying about their promises and what they will do.
Not quite sure how this is a conspiracy?
The ONS have recently said the population will grow by 4.9 million by 2032
Land will be required for housing, for roads, for other infrastructure, in order to accommodate this growth in population. Some of that land might be farm land

He loves cosplay. He drinks wine, not beer, and I can guarantee he’s never got his hands dirty with manual work. He’s a true snob. Tbh, I’m surprised he’s even in the UK rn.
Nigel’s latest conspiracy theory: Labour’s secret plot to replace tractors with caravans. You couldn’t make it up!
It’s nonsense they are cash poor/land rich. It’s one of those cliched tropes everyone just parrots without having experienced it. Do you think those 500 quid Barbour jackets and the diesel for the tractors are paid for with thin air? Have you ever been to a farm auction or sale. They ALL go with wads of cash. Like literally they are all carrying thousands of pounds and the people who are likely to say “cash is king”
Lest people forget this was actual policy … https://www.gov.uk/government/news/government-commits-to-support-farmers-who-wish-to-leave-the-industry
Look. If you have a load of people who dont want immigration, don’t understand why a government can’t stop immigration, and a government who won’t be honest about why they need immigration, you are bound to have some charlatan who enters the space with easy explanations.
I wish our dear leader, or Rachel from accounts would just stand up and say. “Our GDP would be fucked if we stopped putting people in at the bottom.”
