The Rules Of Söngvakeppnin 2025
RUV has announced some notable changes this year… the most important of which is the elimination of the wild card option for the Grand Final! Also, in the final of Söngvakeppnin , in recent years, the top two songs in the voting faced off in a duel for two, where the songs were re-performed and the audience voted again. This year, this process will be abolished, which means that there will only be one telephone vote from the audience throughout the evening. This vote will determine 50% of the result. On the other hand, an international jury, consisting of representatives of seven foreign countries, will constitute the other 50% of the result. In the end, the song with the highest, combined, score of the evening will be declared the winner of Songvakeppnin 2025!
