To everybody complaining about the ice in winter: at least you can wear spikes. Now we’re at the phase where you need spikes for the ice, wellies for the puddles and heaps of thawing poop, and regular shoes for the gravelly pavements.

No niin
Just get some good Gore-Tex or leather boots with a coarse outsole and you’ll be fine.
Northern Sweden here, can relate. Let’s have a sauna and grumble togheter.
Finland: every season is a trial.
Rubber boots with ice studs.
Heaps of thawing poop… if people actually took care of that when it happened…
About the poop, are people not required to pick it up? There’s like poop everywhere!
My icebugs do hold water also. It’s a swedish brand of studded-sole boots – I highly recommend it.
Ah yes, win or die season
Ive been struggling with my summer vans all winter, kind of used to slipping around with them
Just put some micro spikes on your Nokians
Just ride a bike studded tires.
While the heaps of poop are nasty, I don’t need wellies for them. I just don’t step on them.
I used to live up north and every day I had to go through what I called the dog poop forest. For 300m I had to hold my breath bc 5 months of accumulated dog poop thawing at the same time was just awful.
Dog owners please pickup the poop also in winter.. thx.
The footpaths around Rovaniemi are a death trap at the moment if you’re not careful. I fell over three times this morning. 😞
I swear this time of year makes me feel like I’m one of the only people that picks up after my dog.
Yeah, first thing I did after the first blizzard was buy rain boots because I knew it was gonna be a real shit show after it all melts. 3 blizzards later, it proved to be a good investment lol.
