1. It seems that Russia thinks that Trump’s strategy is rooted in military weakness. Trump’s anti-EU and anti-NATO strategy is fueled by the inability to win a war against China over Taiwan. Maybe the grand US strategy is to destroy Europe as an economic competitor and maybe ensure a new wave of white immigration. I find the possibility of a US-Russian alliance against the EU very disturbing.

2. Will the US actually have the capacity to do *anything* in the near future?

   Roman Bezsmertnyi is a Ukrainian official and appears to be aligned with Zelensky. If we’re discussing a diplomat’s opinion about the US’s ability to counter China, it’s probably worth attributing the source and considering his motivations.

5. This is probably entirely non-credable but what if trumps plan to make american great again is to let russia and china raze the east and west to the ground so that the US can swoop in and ‘save’ everyone as the only remaining industrial power just like after ww2?

6. The current government ‘leadership’ lacks the mental capacity to be effective during a hot war, yes. They have the physical capability, though.
