A really great spot for some photos but made me wonder is this the most historical crane in Scotland ?

  1. The Finnieston Crane ? Maybe, it was the last titan type crane built on the Clyde, completed in 1931.

    The one at Clydebank, completed in 1907, was the world’s first electrically powered crane of that type though.

  6. It should be flooded all over Greenock never mind that…no wonder they built PG on the hills just outside.Why even bother with the baths or ice rink down at the Waterfront ?
    Didn’t realise so many folks on here from Greenock BTW few different comments already.

  7. There’s a train crane at the railway museum in Bo’ness. It carries some historical significance.

  8. Yes it is. There was an older one but it fell down.
