This is why I’m worried — Putin SHOULD be afraid because Trump has the power to mop the floor with any “peer” military-wise. And Trump’s whole life has been knowing where he has leverage and using it. But Trump is not standing up to Putin, which suggests something nefarious.
Keeping Europe out of the negotiations is especially telling. Because there are no real negotiations…? Should we expect Trump to say the money taken from russia needs to be returned? Should we expect sanctions to be reversed?
We’ll find out, and voters/media loyal to Trump will dress up a new argument for why his decisions are the right decision, even if they previously argued Trump would lead to a better outcome for Ukraine. “Dynamic thinking”

So, Trump wants these… “peace talks” to be attended by the US, Ukraine and Russia only, right? I have a feeling that Trump thinks that he and Putin could coerce Zelenski into something he wouldn’t normally agree to should other countries be present there too. Anyone else got this feeling?
Trump doesn’t want any witnesses in case something goes wrong or someone else would support Zelenski and advise him against Trump’s and Putin’s propositions. And afterwards, he’ll present himself as a hero who made peace.

I think the mistake we’re all making here, is thinking Trump is in charge. While in reality, Adolf Schmusk is calling the shots. And he’s knee deep up Moscow’s ass.
Zelenskyy needs to remind Trump of that perfect and beautiful peace plan Trump told Zelenskyy all about that only a genius like Trump could have thought of. It’s so good they will put his name and face on everything like Mt. Rushmore or the new $1M bill.
this is really smart, Trump has an enormous ego and a small intellect. Telling Trump that Putin is afraid of him is a fantastic strategy to make Trump more invested in seeing the defeat of Russia to build himself up.
You can see it in his eyes that he is carrying the weight of the world, and his people are doing the heavy lifting for all of Europe. People need to step up .. a lot
