  1. TLDR:

    * On Friday, Feb. 14, District Attorney John Lewin asked the jury not to be swayed by the appearance of Rocky’s kids and partner, [Rihanna](https://people.com/tag/rihanna/), in court during closing statements. The rapper is accused of firing a semi-automatic handgun at his former friend and A$AP Mob member A$AP Relli in an altercation in November 2021.
    * “This is not something you’re allowed to consider,” Lewin told the jury at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center in downtown Los Angeles. “We are all responsible for what we do.”
    * He continued, “I want to make sure that no matter how famous his [partner] is, no matter how cute his kids are, no matter how much they giggle during closing arguments… he needs to be treated like any other person. Because in the end that’s what he’s entitled to.” When Lewin made these comments to the jury, Rocky and Rihanna, both 36, shifted in their seats and looked visibly upset.

  2. Elizabeth Holmes had babies to try and gain sympathy from jurors, including being pregnant for the start of trial, and being pregnant again for her sentencing, she was facing 20 years. She’s doing 11, jurors aren’t dumb.

  3. Thats was such an obvious ploy i dunno why Rihanna would embarrass herself like that and involve her kids In that type of circus. But i guess thats the price you pay for shacking up with a rapper.

  4. They were obviously trying to sway the jury. It will be interesting to see if it works.

  5. Yea that shit doesn’t work when the wife is worth 100’s of millions of dollars

  6. Didnt the prosecution contradict themselves numerous times?

  7. If I were facing 20 years and didn’t have kids (but planned to) I would want not want to be pregnant in prison. Just saying.

  8. “I want to make sure that no matter how famous his [partner] is, no matter how cute his kids are, no matter how much they giggle during closing arguments… he needs to be treated like any other person. Because in the end that’s what he’s entitled to.”

  9. “Rihanna brought their sons RZA, 2½, and Riot, 18 months, to court on Feb. 13”

  10. I guarantee he’ll be acquitted. This prosecutor is out of his league. That and being a celebrity in LA is huge. See OJ, Robert Blake, etc. Rihanna being in that courtroom alone will set him free.

  11. The prosecutor is embarrassing in court. Maybe that should be their focus.
