  1. Outrageous Price, get yourself 5 dozen down Cosco for £8

  2. On a level it’s crazy that I saw the other day there are places in the U.S selling a dozen eggs for $14 and they’re having to limit people to one carton each because they’re flying off the shelves due to panic buying 🤣

  3. I don’t get it. Are eggs cheaper or more expensive in the US right now?

  4. Fucking 3 pound for eggs doe

    Fuck it’s 12 ignore me

  5. Sometimes you gotta break the bank to maga a an omelette.

  6. Wait, wait, wait. I’m hearing a lot about expensive US eggs. Do you mean President Trump didn’t fix it all on day one? Well I am shocked.

  7. I’ll one up that. I live in the countryside and there are quite a few farmers locally who are in the egg business. Eggs can be had for free if you have the right contacts and often they can be found for sale at the side of the road for almost nothing.

  8. The Americans hate animals welfare and healthy eggs.

  9. To a Brit this is massively ironic. During the war we used to have powdered eggs. They weren’t ideal, but they were eggs. Where did they come from? USA. Maybe we should be sending powdered eggs back to the USA. And some jitterbugs and stuff.

  10. AAAAAHHHHHH! FUNNY SQUIGGLES THAT I DON’T KNOW WHAT THEY MEAN! THE HELL IS A £ SUPPOSED TO BE? A 2 WITH A LEARNING DISABILITY?!

Sorry, I felt compelled to be silly

  11. If you don’t give a shit about chickens a dozen eggs is less than £2

  12. Someones had a good month, shopping in Sainsburys for a treat!.

  13. I nearly posted a photo of this earlier. Time to cross post to r/conservative 😈

  14. Thats still expensive for 12 eggs. Usually closer to 2 quid

  15. As an American I have to say that we don’t want your squiggle line money. We got the dollar sign and it is the best, everyone says it. We also have the biggest eggs, so big that some chickens die attempting to lay them. Cardboard egg cartons? I’ll only accept my eggs in Earth ending never biodegrading styrofoam. Also, is that a praying mantis? Is that how you protect your eggs from the knife wielding juveniles?

Just so it is clear, this is a joke.

  16. That scares me! I pay £2.40 a dozen for actual free range eggs up the road from me.

  17. Why yes indeed

    *Sips my tea*

“Argh it’s not in Dollars & I can’t work out how to convert it!” Scared Americans

  18. Cheaper *and* you don’t have to keep them in the fridge.

  19. I thought £2.70?? That’s expensive! Then I noticed it was a 12pack. I always buy 6, I forgot bigger boxes exist

  20. They are 1.49 for six large eggs in my local shop. Surely there is an illegal market where we can sell them.

  21. Is it the price or the fact that Americans HAVE to keep eggs in the fridge?

  22. :hides behind couch scared: “mommy where are you”

  23. We get our eggs from Waitrose. Currently **£1.40 for 6** white eggs.

White ones are sold cheaper than brown in UK because lots of people think brown ones are somehow healthier, so they are more popular. But there is no difference nutritionally.

    * This is about $1.76… and I understand that it is white eggs that are preferred in the USA.

  24. If a dozen eggs are $14 isn’t it cheaper to just buy a chicken?

Id be curious to know how long before it becomes more cost efficient in the mid-long term
