Italy was the leading producer, with a production value of €1 559 million in 2023, or 36% of the EU’s total. France followed with €1 444 million (33%), ahead of Germany with €507 million (12%). 

Compared with 2022, the largest relative increases in jewelry production value were reported in Croatia (+26%), Czechia (+25%) and Ireland (+20%).

In contrast, the sharpest decreases were recorded in Lithuania (-36%), Latvia (16%) and Italy (-8%).

Latvia produced 1.5 million euros’ worth of jewelry in 2023, as opposed to 1.8 million euros’ worth in 2022. 

Latvia made less jewelry than both Estonia (1.8 million) and Lithuania (2.6 million) in 2023.
