In case someone has not seen the news (pretty easy with everything going currently on around the rest of the world), it is again "a strike springtime" or lakkokevät in Finland, meaning that there are plenty of industrial actions. Tomorrow PAM starts strikes in shops/grocery stores, first logistics and on Wednesday store personnel. Be prepared, buy your fresh produce like milk and vegetables tomorrow and on Tuesday. The strike will end on Saturday.

"A retail industry strike is starting on Monday, the Service Union United PAM and the Finnish Commerce Federation announced on Sunday.

The strike will begin in the retail logistics sector on Monday morning and in shops on Wednesday. The logistics portion of the strike is expected to last until Thursday morning, while store operations will be affected until Saturday morning.

The industrial action will encompass some 70,000 workers and impact around 3,000 sites. These include all S-Group stores and all K-Citymarket, K-Supermarket and K-Market shops, as well as all Lidl, Halpa-Halli and Tokmanni sales points."

  1. Sad thing it will do nothing but make the ones who already hate unions hate them more.

  2. Sorry, I’m not very practice with all the names. This strike means that Prisma will be closed from wednesday to Saturday?

  3. I have storage multiple guns and foodrations incase of total mayhem and violence which will most likely happen🔥

  4. The government are crushing the worker hard, no wonder they pushing for immigrants influx so thing like this will never happen in the future.

  5. Milk and pasta was already quite depleted tonight in Tripla Prisma. Tmoro will be mayhem

  6. It’s good we’re on strike, and for the general public there is no need to worry.
No chaos will happen. Strikes like these are announced long in advance. Stores have stocked up in advance and non union workers will still work so the stores remain open in at least some capacity. Source: i work in one of those warehouses and it can be absolute pandemonium in the rush to have all the stores supplied in advance before the strike starts.
No one will have to go hungry but lets hope this makes the industry sit down, shut up and listen 😀
