  1. The biomass should be used for compost or just burried to return the carbon to the soil. Burning is, of course, an ancient agricultural technology. Does anyone know how the potato popularity plan is going in China?

  2. Maybe they can make extra money via biochar and carbon credits.

  3. sugar cane is a massive problem. not sure about china but SE Asia, even florida. they burn before harvesting to reduce harvesting costs. the only way to stop them is to pay them. sugar should rerally be banned. not only is it a huge health cost but its a huge environmental cost including greenhouse gasses
