This isn’t an endorsement of Reform, it’s a condemnation of the Tories.
New poll suggests that UK voters are almost as gullible as US voters.
They’re not and in the new world that Russia and the US want, having a Reform govt would be downright dangerous. The press in this country need to start earning their money holding them to account instead of promoting them.
Rats seen leaving a sinking ship regarded as more trustworthy than Reform P.L.C.
I’d trust a taco bell not to give me the trots over the Tory’s so it’s not much of an endorsement.
The Leopards Ate My Face party seen as more trustworthy?
Ohhh finally the country has realised they can’t trust the Tories….
Ohhh no, nevermind they trust the Tories with turquoise ties on instead. Just as gullible as they have always been.
I’m a massive Tory hater but I wouldn’t trust a single Reform party member further than I could throw them.
Beside the fact that they’re obviously Russian stooges, they’re headed up by the biggest grifting gimp we’ve got in this country who’s been evidenced as being completely full of shit for a decade or more now.
Reform are at the very most as trustworthy as the Tories and in reality much less so because their stupidity seems more malicious than Tory incompetence.
Because of the voting system, right leaning parties will now vote split each other. A more common issue among left leaning parties in the past. So this type of thing plays well for Labour and if LibDems play their cards right (and a lot of luck) they might even get in to opposition. Our voting system is pretty messed up and silly.
Glad to see everyone who’s commenting has no bias or prejudices.
They are. They’re gaining popularity and the continuing collapse of the Tory party and relative inertia of the dwindling left is enabling Reform. They’re in a position now where they’re on course to be stronger and more able and we can *implicitly* trust £Shop Mosely and his mates to royally fuck this country up the arse and get rich while they’re doing it far, far more efficiently that the Conservatives ever did.
Think it’s bad now? If the voting public of this country don’t pull their fingers out of their arses Farridge will sleepwalk into number 10 and we’re fucked.
It’s gone tits up in America, and now the racists are getting stronger here as well.
Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with people these days?
yeah, comparatively
i think being locked in a room with little air would be better than floating naked in the vacuum of space
I mean….isn’t reform just the Tories but without any filters?
My cat’s furballs are more trustworthy than the Tories.
As far as I know, Reform don’t even have a manifesto. They’ve produced a document which is extremely similar to a manifesto but very significantly NOT a manifesto. The sceptic in me thinks that this was intentionally not a manifesto purely for the purpose of allowing them to break their promises without having broken their manifesto promises.
Doesn’t seem very strong or trustworthy to me
The world is gearing up for war and the establishment the millionnarres and billionaires are behind it as usual .
Wow I wonder who is funding all this polls involving Reform and pointing out Reform is a totally sane and legit option to vote for – the strategy is so blatant, they want to normalise Reform as an option
Well..yes. but it’s like trusting the dog to watch your dinner instead of a wolf.
Still going to vote Labour.
I mean, this is a weird question… Because I hate reform, despise Nigel Farage and dislike everything they stand for.
But even I *trust* them more **to act upon their manifesto** than I do with the Tories. Like, if the Tories outline what they intend to do (not what they intend to *achieve*, just what they intend to *do*) and Reform do the same, I trust Reform to actually take those actions – whereas the Tory party at the moment is a bloody, infighting-plagued mess and I don’t place *any* stock in what they say.
It’s like saying I trust a gardener to mow the lawn, a thief to steal or trust a racist to say/do racist things. It’s not *positive* as such.
This is absolute lunacy. Reform are so far from trustworthy and is slowly filling their ranks with Tory defectors…
Fuck Sky. Right in the eye socket.
This is the thinnest edge of the wedge. Get people talking about them, give them a platform and coverage, and put out the findings of a ‘poll’ here and there, then suddenly in 6-12 months people are having discussions about them like they’re a viable option.
Poll idiots for stupid results, better headlines that way
“Stong” and “trustworthy” are just euphemisms for bigoted atp
Well, they are.
You can dislike Reform, and the Tories, as much as you like, but it’s hard to argue that they’re not more cohesive than the Tories, and they don’t have a track record of years of failure under the belt either.
Quite honestly, I don’t understand why anyone would vote for the Tories with the one exception of those people that will always vote Tory no matter what. Essentially, the Tories are just Reform Lite at this point. Why vote for that, when you can vote for full fat Reform?
Well, to be fair, that’s a very, very low bar.
Also people are fucking stupid.
I’m 48 and have totally checked-out of politics. I can’t even listen to them on the TV/radio – I just switch off when I hear “Joining me now is Minister for….” There’s no point in listening to an endless stream of lies and question dodging. And if I hear “Twenty-two billion pound black hole” one more time I’m going to punch a child.
Politicians aren’t doing what people want them to do. So I’m not surprised that the electorate and feeling around for someone else.
When Reform are in power and everyone is moaning, it’ll be the Tory and Labour politicians themselves who will be to blame.
Because all of the wealth that Brexit bought us has taught us to trust Farage, sure. I condemn the Tories but I’d rather have them in power than Reform with the current geopolitical climate.
the phrase “out of the frying pan into the fire” comes to mind for some reason.
I’ve said this before. People are visceral voters. Unless Labour does something quick about wealth inequality and illegal immigrants, the fascist right will win the next election.
Of course they are trustworthy. I fully expect them to continue to be every bit at racist and right wing as they advertise themselves to be.
The tories are never quite sure how far they are allowed to go to maintain at least some of their capitalist but not quite as racist base.
Understand not trusting the Tories as they are self interested liars to an individual but anyone who trusts that lying wank stain Farage is a moron.
That’s what happens when both Labour and Tories don’t listen to their voters, especially when the far left pushing people to the other side of spectrum
Rough time ahead
A good chunk of the people I know are planning on voting reform, including myself.
Well would you trust a stranger more than a criminal who robbed your house last week? That’s basically the question.
The blunt truth is the left need a new common sense party that the average left voter can get behind..one that prioritises sensible discussions on immigration without labelling everyone.racist for wanting to discuss it, a left party that focuses on what they can do for the country instead of banging on what the previous party who was in charge fcked up on..one that doesn’t play identity politics all the time etc etc..the left have alienated common sense voters who can’t vote for the right cause they’re way out there but equally can’t vote for labour cause they’re just pandering to whatever nonsense is flavour of the week….
Labour need to continue what they have done in the past few weeks of clamping down people coming into England via illegal routes, and reduce money spent on exclusive healthcare and housing schemes for them (that the tories actually setup).
Go a bit harder on this and also cut back spending on the vanity projects (net zero, foreign aid spending) and they will start to win voters.
I think this is less an endorsement of Reform, and more a damning indictment of how bad the Conservatives have been proven to be.
No doubt Kemi is awful — I think this is the Tories issue. Their system seems to favour the more vapid character when their members come to vote for them. I honestly think Cleverly, or even Jenrick, would have been so much more effective at displaying a steady ship.
_This does not excuse_ the fallibility of the Brutish electorate though. People are expecting 5 years’ worth of result from 7 months of the Labour party.
And where those over expectations inevitably fall short, are we really looking to our Lord and Savour _Nigel_? I can’t believe I still live in this country.
Our parents and grandparents warned us to not trust the internet and everything we see online when we were little, only to become utterly addicted themselves. It’s so sad.
It reminds me of when Lib Dem’s would outperform Labour a few years back a few years outside of an election.
I mean if you’re given the choice between lung cancer and skin cancer, one is always going to come out on top. Doesn’t mean either of them is good or that people particularly have a favourable view of either cancer.
Ultimately you have the Tories, who for 14 year pilaged the country and drove it into the ground. They have been mired with scandal and corruption for over a decade. Of course they aren’t going to be popular.
Farage and his party aren’t much better, however they don’t have the history the Tories have and so are always more likely to be seen less negatively given they are somewhat an unknown quantity. That being said active support for either is not exactly a great character trait in my opinion.
-Be a millionaire stockbroker
-Steal a living at the EU parliament achieving nothing
-Moan about migrants
-Lie about everything to get harmful brexit and damage the country worse than anyone since 1940’s
-Blame everything on migrants
-Moan about hearing foreign languages on a bus
-Admit putin is the politician you admire the most
-Call the truss budget the best budget of your lifetime
-have no policies or understanding of economics
-keep moaning about migrants
-Profit
Honestly, some people are so unbelievably easy to con, it’s almost like they want an excuse to hate foreigners more than a serious attempt to have better governance.
I love watching Reforms rise and the howling swivel eyed so called liberals frothing at the mouth over it.
Labour/Tories are going to get anhiliated at the next general election.
The people have had enough. Like the USA…BIG change is coming.
Considering the voter base, it definitely absolutely has nothing at all to do with skin colour. /s
I think many people still haven’t forgiven the Tories for their lockdown hypocrisy. People lost family members and couldn’t be with them in their final moments, while Boris and Sunak flouted the rules. Sunak should have resigned as an MP and never become PM—30 years ago, he would have. But these days, they all seem to think they’re above the rest of us.
Labour are only in power because they’re less shit than the Tories. But this time, it’s a three-horse race. Reform is making sense to a lot of people because the other two parties either fail to make real changes or, when they do, can’t even promote themselves properly.
The Tories are going to be blocked by Reform for a long time. Farage is a master of self-promotion, taking credit for everything at the Tories’ expense. In previous years, the Conservatives had the space to rebuild and claw their way back to power slowly—but not this time
Anyone is stronger and more trustworthy than the Tories.
