Two Russian drones violated Moldova’s airspace in the country’s southern part, government spokesperson Daniel Vodă wrote on Telegram on Feb. 16.
The first drone was detected by Moldova’s Air Operations Division at 10:45 p.m., moving in the Taraclia-Petrivka direction.
The second drone was identified three minutes later in the Burleteni-Vinogradivka direction.
Both drones left Moldova’s airspace at 10:54 p.m. and 11:20 p.m., respectively.
Vodă noted that the incident coincided with Russia’s overnight drone attack on Ukraine’s Odesa Oblast. Moldova’s specialized security services are monitoring the situation closely.
